HGV HIAB Driver Timber Merchant

Are you an experienced Class 2 Heavy Goods Driver looking for a local, stable, and rewarding role? We're expanding our transport team and need skilled professionals to help us deliver across Suffolk and its neighbouring counties.

Your Responsibilities

Operate Class 2 HGV vehicles safely and efficiently while adhering to traffic regulations. Deliver a variety of construction materials to sites, businesses, and households. Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and functionality. Secure flatbed loads appropriately within weight and safety standards. Maintain accurate delivery records and communicate effectively with our team and customers.

What You'll Need

Experience

- Minimum of

two years

driving Class 2 HGV.

Preferred but not essential

- Hiab (vehicle-mounted crane) training.

Driving record

- A clean record is preferred; any live offences must be disclosed at the interview.

Safety & Service Mindset

- A commitment to safe driving and outstanding customer interaction.

Rates to be discussed depending on experience

Job Type:

Full-time, Permanent.

Hours:

Monday-Friday (7.30am-5pm) (based on 45 hours per week).

We stock a comprehensive range of landscaping and fencing materials such as posts, gates, sleepers, softwood & composite decking, panels, aggregates, sandstone and porcelain paving, artificial grass and concrete products.

Our delivery area includes all of Suffolk and parts of its neighbouring counties on our own vehicles.
