At Merchants Transport Limited we have an excellent permanent opportunity available for a HGV / LGV Class 2 Driver with vehicle mounted crane (HIAB) licence to join our expanding haulage business.



We are currently seeking a Heavy Goods Vehicle HGV / Large Goods Vehicle LGV Driver Class 2 / Class C driver with vehicle mounted crane (HIAB) licence to join our Monday to Friday operation, delivering into merchants, building sites and various other customer locations.



We are based in Stoney Stanton, Leicestershire and deliver to and collect from customers throughout the UK. Start and finish times are dependent on planned deliveries for the day, but the general hours of work are 50 - 55 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Flexibility is required, as no two days are ever the same.





Rates of pay are competitive, with a Class 2 driver with HIAB licence typically earning around 880 for a 55 hour week / 45,750 annually.

Experience / Skills Required:


Flat bed work; Physical strength and fitness and be capable of the manual elements of the role - crane has hook attachment and requires the use of chains / slings / trays. Using straps and ratchets for securing loads; Delivering to building & construction sites and house developments; Ability to use initiative, apply common sense and work in the safest manner at all times. C entitlement on licence; Vehicle Mounted Crane / HIAB Licence, but not essential as training can be provided; Valid Digital tacho & CPC Card;

For insurance purposes, candidates must be at least 25 years of age and have two years' experience driving an LGV, and have no more than 6 points on licence (exclusions apply, such as BA, CD, DD, DR, DG offences).
