Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Truck Driver to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial driving, ranging from flatbed, artic, and skip vehicles, and a strong commitment to safety and efficiency. As a Truck Driver, you will be responsible for delivering and collecting goods to various locations while ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining the highest standards of professionalism.

Responsibilities

Operate lorries safely and efficiently to transport goods to designated locations. Conduct pre-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure compliance with safety regulations and operational standards. Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper securing of items for safe transport. Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation as required by company policies. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise during transit. Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while on the road, promoting a culture of safety at all times. Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, representing the company positively in all interactions.

Experience

Proven experience as a Commercial Driver or in a similar role is essential. Valid commercial driving licence (C+E or equivalent) is required (may consider C only). Experience operating artic & skip lorries is highly advantageous. Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices in commercial driving. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively to meet delivery deadlines. Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused attitude are essential for success in this role.
