We're on the lookout for a new team member to join our Bristol branch. If you enjoy being out on the road, meeting people, and working with all kinds of machinery, this could be a great fit for you. If you have industry experience, even better!
This role sits primarily within our busy Hire Department, where no two days are ever the same. You'll be delivering hire machinery to our customers, making sure everything arrives safely and is ready to go. From time to time, you'll also support our workshop team by helping with deliveries on their behalf -- so there's plenty of variety.
What You'll Be Doing
Delivering machinery for our Hire Department and, occasionally, for the workshop team.
Giving clear, friendly handovers and training customers on how to safely use the equipment.
Completing all delivery paperwork accurately and efficiently.
Lending a hand in the workshop or yard during quieter periods -- helping with maintenance tasks or wherever support is needed.
Our Hire Department can be incredibly busy during our peak seasons, so we're looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and keeps a cool head when things get hectic. If you're practical, proactive, and enjoy variety in your day, you'll fit right in.
Hours of Work
Your standard hours will be 8:00am to 5:00pm, but we do occasionally have early starts (around 6:30am) to meet customer needs. Any extra hours will, of course, be paid as overtime.
What We're Looking For
A full UK driving licence and a clean Class 2 licence (18t) with a current CPC card.
Understand regulations around driving hours and the use of tachographs.
Someone who can think on their feet and solve problems as they arise.
A great communicator who takes pride in delivering brilliant customer service.
Experience operating groundcare or agricultural machinery, or in a similar machinery-based role.
A forklift licence is handy, but not essential as we can provide training if needed.
