Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Mechanic to join our maintenance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting, repairing, and maintaining a variety of machinery and equipment to ensure optimal operational performance. Duties

Conduct routine inspections and diagnostics on machinery and equipment to identify faults or potential issues. Perform repairs, replacements, and preventative maintenance on mechanical components. Troubleshoot complex mechanical problems using specialised tools and technical knowledge. Maintain detailed records of all maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections. Collaborate with other team members to ensure safety standards are upheld during all maintenance tasks. Assist in the installation of new equipment and upgrades as required. Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations and organisational policies.

Skills

Proven experience as a mechanic or in a similar technical role. Strong understanding of mechanical systems, hydraulics, and pneumatics. Ability to read technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics accurately. Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and hand-held power tools. Excellent problem-solving skills with a methodical approach to troubleshooting. Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively. Strong communication skills to collaborate with team members and report findings clearly. Relevant qualifications such as City & Guilds or NVQ in Mechanical Engineering are desirable but not essential.
