Cwmbran based maintenance provider is seeking an experienced HGV Mechanic to work in house, on our fleet and also some customer vehicles. Duties include MOT preps, inspections, presenting vehicles for Vol Brake Testing, defect rectification, brakes, suspension, servicing etc.

The successful candidate will need to posses a positive attitude, be reliable and organised. Attention to detail is essential, as is a methodical work pattern, combined with a common sense approach to problem solving. Diagnostic experience would be a definite advantage.

Flexibility is key as no two days are the same and you may be required to help out in other areas of the business, including working on LGV vehicles as and when required.

A minimum Class 2 HGV License is essential with no more than 6 points and no previous disqualifications.

Happy to consider both time served and mechanics with a recognised qualification.

We are usually open from 7 am - 5 pm so a staggered shift of 8 hours can be agreed to suit both you and our existing mechanic. You may be required to work overtime occasionally during busy periods or if a job overruns.

Salary is depending on experience.
