Duties

Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on machinery and equipment Diagnose faults and perform repairs using appropriate tools and techniques Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities and repairs undertaken Assist in the installation of new equipment and machinery Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations Order parts and supplies as needed to facilitate repairs and maintenance Collaborate with other team members to optimise operational performance Respond promptly to emergency repair requests to minimise downtime

Skills

Proven experience as a mechanic, preferably within a manufacturing or industrial environment Strong understanding of mechanical systems, hydraulics, and pneumatics Ability to read technical manuals, diagrams, and schematics accurately Excellent problem-solving skills with a methodical approach to diagnostics Good organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently Ability to work independently as well as part of a team Relevant qualifications such as City & Guilds or NVQ in Mechanical Engineering are desirable Valid driving licence is advantageous for transporting parts or equipment if required
