We are currently recruiting for an HGV Mechanic / Driver to work at our garage at Euroway site.

Normal working hours: Monday - Friday 07:00 - 15:00 with additional hours as and when required to meet the needs of the business.

Roles and responsibilities:

Diagnose and correct running defects Prepare and present vehicles for MOT Carry out vehicle overhauls and minor repairs Ensure all vehicles meet operational and safety standards Assist the lead shunter with movement of product Support the warehouse manager/ lead shunter Perform vehicle and trailer checks Complete CPC training and maintain records Support with staff training as required Maintain high standards of housekeeping and health and safety

Qualifications / Experience:

Full UK driving licence Valid Class 1 (C+E) HGV licence HGV mechanical experience essential Class 2 qualified Experienced in vehicle shunting A sound knowledge of driving hours, tachographs and working time legislation Strong team player with a proactive, can-do attitude Able to work independently with effective time management Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Willingness to undertake and apply further training A flexible approach with the ability to provide cover for holidays, sickness, or peak periods.
