We are seeking a skilled and reliable Mechanic to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting, maintaining, and repairing a variety of Vehicles and trailers to ensure optimal operational performance. we have good facilities and a large heated workshop with pits, lifting equipment and multiple diagnostic equipment as well as a well established and friendly team.

Responsibilities

Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on machinery and equipment. Diagnose faults accurately using diagnostic tools and techniques. Repair or replace faulty components, ensuring minimal downtime. Keep detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts used. Collaborate with other team members to coordinate maintenance schedules. Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations. Maintain a clean and organised workshop environment.

Skills

Proven experience as a HGV mechanic or in a similar technical role. Strong understanding of mechanical systems, hydraulics, and electrical components. Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams effectively. Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks efficiently. Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with team members and management. Relevant qualifications or certifications in mechanical or automotive engineering are desirable. Ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments. We offer a 10 percent weekly bonus in addition to hourly pay after one month of employment and we also offer private medical insurance after one year of employment.
