We are seeking a skilled and reliable Mechanic to join our maintenance team. HGV licence required. The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting, repairing, and maintaining a variety of machinery and equipment to ensure optimal operational efficiency. Duties
Conduct routine inspections of machinery and equipment to identify potential issues
Perform repairs, replacements, and preventative maintenance on mechanical systems
Troubleshoot mechanical faults and determine appropriate solutions efficiently
Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities and repairs undertaken
Assist with installation of new equipment and machinery as required
Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations and standards
Collaborate with other team members to optimise maintenance processes and minimise downtime
Requirements
Proven experience as a mechanic or in a similar technical role
Strong understanding of mechanical systems, hydraulics, and pneumatics
Ability to read technical manuals, diagrams, and schematics effectively
Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail
Good organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently
Relevant qualifications or certifications in mechanical engineering or related fields are desirable
Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
