Working within a team of technicians responsible for the assembly process of the Boxer Mechanised Infantry Vehicle, working in line with the company's procedures and working to specific Health and Safety guidelines. The role is currently a day shift, however, Production demand may require the flexibility of the post holder to work alternative shift patterns.

Main Duties
To ensure their personal safety and the safety of all other employees is not compromised by their actions and to apply applicable safety requirements to comply with the regulatory agencies.
Final assembly of armoured wheeled vehicles and sub-assemblies,
Problem-solving, fault-finding, and rectification work,
Interpreting drawings and standard operating instructions,
Diagnosing mechanical issues, including hydraulic and pneumatic systems, proposing a course of action, and rectifying where relevant,
The use of diagnostic software systems to complete the initial installation of software and diagnose/repair any issues,
Order parts and equipment as necessary to fulfil job requirements,
Expected to work collaboratively across other departments as and when requested by Line Management, assisting with their work-load, when necessary,
Complete all documentation and attesting for work within the MRP system (SAP),
Undertakes training to enhance competence when required *may involve occasional off-site travel including overseas (Germany), Will actively transfer knowledge and provide on the job training when required,
Ability to complete allocated tasks to deadlines as prescribed by the business.
Willing to Engage in the company's 5's / housekeeping policy.

Essential Requirements
The suggested qualifications are as below:
Proven experience as an HGV Mechanic
HGV Mechanic Certification City and Guilds / NVQ
Level 3 Diploma in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance
Vehicle assembly or maintenance experience
Understanding of technical documents
Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems
Knowledge of production processes and procedures
Understanding of quality, safety, and environmental systems and processes
Knowledge of legislation and regulations
Planning and organisation skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
