Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Mechanic to join our maintenance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting, repairing, and maintaining a variety of Trucks and equipment to ensure optimal operational efficiency. Duties

Conduct routine inspections of Trucks and equipment to identify potential issues before they escalate. Perform repairs and maintenance on mechanical systems, including engines, motors, gearboxes, and hydraulic components. Troubleshoot mechanical faults using diagnostic tools and technical knowledge. Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts used. Assist with installation of new equipment and upgrades to existing machinery. Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations and company policies. Collaborate with other team members to optimise maintenance schedules and minimise downtime. Keep the workshop clean, organised, and stocked with necessary tools and parts.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a mechanic or in a similar technical role. Strong understanding of mechanical systems, hydraulics, and pneumatics. Ability to read technical manuals, diagrams, and schematics effectively. Excellent problem-solving skills with a methodical approach to diagnostics. Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks efficiently. Relevant qualifications such as City & Guilds or NVQ in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent are preferred. A valid driving licence is desirable for mobility around site or between locations. Commitment to maintaining high safety standards at all times.
