Duties

Conduct routine inspections of machinery and equipment to identify faults or potential issues. Perform repairs, replacements, and preventative maintenance on mechanical components. Troubleshoot mechanical problems using diagnostic tools and technical knowledge. Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts used. Assist in the installation of new equipment and machinery as required. Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations and company policies. Collaborate with other team members to optimise maintenance procedures and minimise downtime.

Experience

Proven experience as a mechanic or in a similar role within an industrial or manufacturing setting. Knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical components is desirable. Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams effectively. Strong problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail. Relevant qualifications such as City & Guilds or NVQ in Mechanical Engineering are advantageous. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks efficiently. This role requires a proactive individual committed to maintaining high standards of safety and quality in their work. Pay: 27,472.50-51,405.05 per year
