We are seeking a professional and reliable Skip Truck Driver to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting skips across various routes, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining high standards of vehicle safety and compliance. This role offers an exciting opportunity for experienced drivers with a focus on commercial driving and delivery operations. A valid driving license and previous skip driver experience are essential to succeed in this position.
Responsibilities
Safely operate skip HGV trucks to transport goods to designated locations.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, ensuring it is in proper working order.
Maintain a positive and friendly approach to customers.
Communicate effectively with your planner regarding schedules, delays, or issues encountered during deliveries.
Follow health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment at all times.
Skills
Proven experience in commercial driving, particularly with skip lorries.
Strong understanding of road safety regulations and compliance standards within the UK.
Excellent driving skills with a clean driving record.
Ability to navigate efficiently using GPS or traditional maps.
Good organisational skills to manage schedules and documentation accurately.
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Pay: 13.50-17.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 - 60 per week
