As the face of the company, you will be responsible for the safe delivery, exchange, and collection of skips for our domestic and commercial customers across Manchester. This is a physically active role that requires precision driving in tight urban environments and a commitment to high safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
Driving & Operation:
Safely operate a 7.5-18 tonne skip loader, ensuring precise placement and collection of skips.
Site Management:
Navigate varying site conditions (residential driveways, construction sites, and tight city streets) with care.
Safety & Compliance:
Perform daily walk-around vehicle checks and maintain accurate tachograph records in line with 2026 DVSA regulations (including the 56-day record-keeping requirement).
Load Security:
Ensure all loads are properly sheeted, netted, and secured before transit.
Customer Service:
Maintain a polite and professional manner when interacting with clients on-site.
Requirements
Licence:
Valid UK Category C (Class 2) HGV Licence.
Experience:
Minimum [e.g., 1 year] of HGV driving experience. Previous skip or "chain" experience is highly desirable, but we will consider newly qualified drivers with a strong "can-do" attitude.
Qualifications:
Current Driver CPC (DQC) and Digital Tachograph Card.
