Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Truck Driver to join our logistics team on a flexible , cover basis. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting skips to customers and tipping at local disposal sites. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to handle flatbed deliveries. The Truck Driver will play a crucial role in ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism.

Responsibilities

Operate lorries in compliance with all traffic laws and regulations. Safely load and unload goods, ensuring skips are secured at all times. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including tipping sheet records. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays. Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies while on the road. Assist with route planning to optimise delivery times and reduce costs.

Skills

Proven experience in commercial driving, preferably with a valid HGV licence. Familiarity with chain skip operations. Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively. Excellent communication skills for interacting with customers and team members. A thorough understanding of road safety regulations and best practices for safe driving. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Job Types: Freelance, Zero hours contract

Pay: 15.00-18.00 per hour
