We are seeking a skilled HGV Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in mechanical and electrical systems, with the ability to maintain, repair, and assemble heavy goods vehicles. This role requires a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service while ensuring that all vehicles are operating at peak performance.

Duties

Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on HGVs, ensuring compliance with safety regulations. Diagnose faults and troubleshoot issues using appropriate tools and equipment. Perform heavy lifting as required during repairs and maintenance tasks. Utilise both hand tools and power tools effectively to complete various tasks. Weld and fabricate components as necessary for repairs or modifications. Assemble vehicle parts and systems according to specifications. Maintain accurate records of work performed and parts used for each vehicle. Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding their vehicle needs and repair status.

Qualifications

Proven mechanical knowledge with experience in HGV maintenance and repair. Strong electrical skills, including the ability to troubleshoot electrical systems. Familiarity with welding techniques and fabrication processes is advantageous. Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively. Ability to perform heavy lifting as part of daily responsibilities. Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in all tasks performed. Strong customer service skills, demonstrating professionalism when interacting with clients. Relevant qualifications or certifications in automotive engineering or a related field are preferred but not essential.
4 On / 4 Off Shift, days and night shift available.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 26.00-29.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 - 48 per week
