We are seeking a skilled HGV Technician to join our dedicated team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and experience in the maintenance and repair of heavy goods vehicles. We are a family run business established for over 40 years with diverse customer base maintaining mixed fleets of vehicles and trailers. Various shifts available to suit personal needs.
Responsibilities
Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on heavy goods vehicles to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
Diagnose faults and carry out repairs on mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
Utilise hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment to perform repairs efficiently.
Maintain accurate records of work performed, including parts used and time spent on each task.
Perform heavy lifting as necessary when handling vehicle parts or equipment.
Operate forklifts safely to move heavy items within the workshop environment.
Collaborate with other technicians and staff to ensure timely completion of repairs and maintenance tasks.
Qualifications
Level 3 NVQ, IMI Level or City and Guilds equivalent
Proven experience of working on LGVs / HGVs
HGV license preferred, but not essential
Fully funded training provided, including, but not limited to:
Tail lift and Deck LOLER training
Haldex EBS training course
HGV drivers license
Forklift driver training
Trailer axle manufacturer specific training
1000 starting bonus payable upon completion of probation period.
Final salary based on experience and qualifications.

Pay: 45,000.00-52,000.00 per year
