4 on x 4 off Day Shift starting at 46,000 & Night Shift starting at 53,000 per Year for a Basic 42 average Hour working week

GB Fleetcare are looking for a Day & Night Shift HGV Technician / Mechanic to join our team that supports the Tesco Distribution Centre at DIRFT.

The role involves working a 4 on, 4 off rolling shift with an average basic working week of 42 hours.

Ideally as a HGV Technician / Mechanic you will come from a time served Motor Vehicle technician background having attained appropriate City & Guilds, NVQ or B/TEC qualifications. More importantly you will have a minimum of 5 years experience of working in a Heavy Goods Vehicle workshop environment.

The Role:

Carry out routine inspections, maintenance and repairs on all makes of vehicles and trailers to DVSA standard

Carry out a wide range of defect repairs from replacing a bulb to replacing brake discs and pads etc.

Fault diagnostic and rectification using the latest manufacturers computer systems and tooling

Complete job cards and service sheets accurately and in a timely manner

A HGV license is desired but not essential.
