We are seeking a skilled HGV Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in mechanical and electrical systems, with the ability to work on heavy goods vehicles. This role requires a commitment to high-quality workmanship, carrying out installations and repairs.
The overall purpose of this role is to repair and maintain HGV Vehicles. Key job areas, preperation of new vehicles, body repairs and basic fault finding.

Our product portfolio now encompasses Fuel Tanks, Pumping and Metering Equipment, Lube Oilers, Loading racks, Powder Tanks, Waste Tanks and Vessels for Liquefied Petroleum Gas.
Duties
Perform routine maintenance and repairs on HGVs, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
Fit new electrical parts into vehicles.
Test vehicle lighting systems.
Diagnose faults using technical drawings, applying both mechanical and electrical knowledge.
Utilise hand tools and power tools effectively for assembly and equipment repair.
Maintain accurate records of work performed, including parts used and time taken for each job.
Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding vehicle issues and repairs.
Diagnostics/Fault resolution.
Comply with Health & Safety policy and guidance documentation.
Adopt safe methods of working.
Qualifications
Proven experience as an HGV Technician or similar role, with a strong understanding of mechanical systems.
A positive "Can Do" attitude.
Complex problem solving skills.
Strong attention to detail.
Ability to distinguish subtle colour variations.
Knowledge of vehicle inspection standards and scheduled maintenance requirements.
Able to work to/meet required timeframes.
Familiarity with heavy lifting techniques and safety protocols associated with working on large vehicles.
The ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
