Job Overview

Are you a HGV Technician/Mechanic looking for a new exciting role in a growing and expanding business?
We are looking for a HGV Technician to join our team at our DHL site in Worksop.

Salary: 38,271 OTE 48,000 - based on actual earnings

Overtime available

Hours of work:

Monday to Friday 6.00am-14.30pm and 10.00am-18.30pm alternating weeks

Must be willing to travel to Goole, Doncaster, Sherburn, Maltby and Coventry if needed. Work van will be provided.

Responsibilities

Service, inspection, maintenance and repair of trucks and trailers

Electrical, electronic, mechanical and hydraulic fault diagnosis, repair and installation

Overhaul electrical equipment and components

Setting and operating of machine tools and equipment

Welding and metal working

Department of Transport (MOT) testing preparation

Parts ordering and stores management

Support team members including Apprentice Technicians as required

Accurately record time and detail of completed jobs

Carry out inspection and repair of workshop equipment as directed

Qualifications

:

Qualified to NVQ Level 3 in Heavy Goods Maintenance or equivalent or proven experience as an HGV Technician or similar role in vehicle maintenance.

Diagnostics skills/qualifications - desirable

A valid Class 1 licence - desirable

Proficient in using hand tools, power tools.

Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
