We are seeking a reliable and skilled Truck Driver to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of goods to various locations. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with team members and clients.

Duties

Operate lorries, including flatbed vehicles, to transport goods between locations. Ensure timely delivery of products while adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition. Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling and securing of items during transit. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of mileage, fuel consumption, and any incidents or delays. Communicate effectively with warehouse staff and clients regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise. Provide mechanical knowledge to perform basic maintenance on the vehicle as needed.

Skills

Proven experience as a delivery driver or in commercial driving roles. Strong mechanical knowledge for basic vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting. Ability to operate various types of vehicles, including vans and flatbed lorries. Excellent communication skills to interact with team members and clients effectively. Experience in warehouse operations is advantageous. Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage time efficiently during deliveries.
