Do you have any HGV Maintenance experience



Our client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced HGV Workshop Foreman / Supervisor to join their team in a busy, modern, and well-maintained HGV workshop. You will oversee a team of technicians and fitters, ensuring that all work is completed efficiently and to the highest standards within time limits. This role requires both hands-on technical involvement and strong leadership in a clean, organized, and well-lit environment.


Key Responsibilities:


Supervise and manage the day-to-day operations of the HGV workshop.

Coordinate and motivate technicians and fitters to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently.

Provide hands-on technical support, from mechanical repairs to advanced diagnostics.

Ensure that all jobs are carried out correctly, within allocated timeframes, and to quality standards.

Maintain accurate job records and communicate effectively with the office and workshop staff.

Assist with administrative tasks, such as job scheduling and reporting, when required.

Promote a positive and productive work environment, fostering growth and learning among the team.

Ensure that all vehicles are prepped, cleaned, and maintained to the highest standards before entering the workshop.

Uphold safety standards and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.

Requirements:


Proven experience in a similar role within an HGV workshop environment.

Strong technical knowledge of HGV maintenance and repair, with hands-on experience in diagnostics.

Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.

Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple jobs in a fast-paced environment.

Commitment to maintaining high standards of safety and quality.

Willingness to undertake ongoing training and development to expand skills and qualifications.
