HGV Workshop Supervisor

Shift:

Monday - Friday, 7:00am - 5:00pm / 8:00am - 6:00pm (alternating shifts) 48hrs
plus 1 in 2 saturday mornings 8 - 12

We are looking for an experienced

HGV Workshop Supervisor

to lead and support a skilled team in a busy 2-bay workshop. You will be managing 2 technicians and splitting your time approximately 75% on the tools and 25% off the tools, combining hands-on vehicle and trailer work with workshop management responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise and support a team of 2

HGV technicians

, managing workloads, schedules, and performance Carry out repairs, servicing, MOT preparation, and refurbishment work on vehicles and trailers Maintain stock levels and ensure parts and materials are available for day-to-day operations Ensure all compliance, quality, and workshop documentation is completed accurately (service sheets, job cards, parts records) Liaise with drivers and the traffic department to discuss vehicle defects and servicing issues

Strong leadership experience in an HGV workshop environment Hands-on technical knowledge with vehicles, trailers, MOT prep, and refurbishment work Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to work flexibly across hands-on and managerial duties Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across teams
