Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced self employed HGV1 Tramper to join our team. This role involves long-distance driving, primarily using curtainsider vehicles, to deliver goods across various locations. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to safety and efficiency, ensuring that all deliveries are made on time while adhering to all regulations.

Responsibilities

Operate HGV1 vehicles for long-distance transportation of goods. Ensure the safe loading and unloading of cargo, securing loads appropriately for transit. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working order. Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation as required by company policies. Adhere to all road safety regulations and company policies during transit. Communicate effectively with dispatch and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise. Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, representing the company professionally at all times.

Experience

Valid HGV1 driving licence with a clean driving record is essential. Previous experience as a commercial driver or delivery driver is highly desirable. Familiarity with vehicles and their specific handling requirements is advantageous. Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices in the transport industry. Excellent time management skills and the ability to work independently under minimal supervision.
