Smiths Equipment Hire Ltd are the Northwest's Largest Independent Equipment Hire Company. Currently in a period of expansion across the business, we now have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced HGV2 Driver for our Castleford Depot

To be successful in this position we seek experienced drivers who have the ability to carry out the following key responsibilities;

Carry out daily and weekly vehicle checks ensuring any defects found are reported to the Depot Manager Keep an accurate record of deliveries and collections using delivery documentation Ensure that any equipment on the vehicle is secured and protected where necessary Collect any money due on the delivery / collection as instructed Maintain product knowledge in order to demonstrate to customers where necessary Demonstrate a high level of customer services and the ability to work in a fast paced, team environment. Delivering small tools but you will be expected to cover the HGV driver in times or absence or holiday.
This is a manual position, so ideally we seek applicants who are physically fit as you will be responsible for managing your own jobs as well as loading goods on and off your vehicle.

It is also essential that you are a qualified driver and that you have the correct industry specific licensing, so you must have all (or some) of the following:

Class 2 licence (experienced in driving Class 2 vehicles) Digi Card Valid CPC card

This is a full time position working hours are:

Monday to Friday, No Saturdays
