to join our specialist drainage and utilities team. This is a hands-on, mobile role that requires confident operation of jetting equipment and associated machinery to carry out essential drainage works across a range of environments.
About the Role:
As a HGV/Jetting Operator, your core responsibility will be to operate
high-pressure water jetting systems
and specialist plant to maintain and clear drainage systems as part of both
planned maintenance
and
reactive works
. You will work with various types of equipment, including:
Combi Units
CityFlex Units
Van Pack Jetters
This role will involve driving to different sites, setting up equipment safely, performing jetting and vacuuming operations, and supporting investigations and cleansing activities. Teamwork, attention to detail, and a methodical approach to safety are essential.
Responsibilities:
Operating high-pressure water jetting equipment for drain and sewer cleansing
Driving and operating Combi Units, CityFlex units, and Van Pack machinery
Conducting safe and efficient setup and operation of equipment on-site
Supporting site investigations and ensuring drainage systems are cleared or maintained
Carrying out jet-vac and suction operations as required
Completing site paperwork and communicating clearly with the wider team
Ensuring all work is performed in accordance with company health and safety standards
What We're Looking For:
A valid
HGV Class 2 licence
(Category C)
High Pressure Water Jetting (HPWJ) certification
Experience operating jetting or vacuum units (Combi, CityFlex, Van Pack)
Familiarity with high-pressure water jetting systems and safe use practices
Good awareness of drainage systems and working around utilities
Ability to work independently and as part of a small operational team
Strong communication and problem-solving skills
High standards of safety, care for equipment, and attention to detail
Desirable (but not essential):
Confined Space entry certification
CSCS or equivalent industry qualifications
