Overview

We are seeking a skilled Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in vehicle maintenance and repair, demonstrating a keen attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.

Duties

Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to identify issues and determine necessary repairs. Perform routine maintenance tasks, including oil changes, PMI's, MOT's Diagnose mechanical problems using diagnostic equipment and hand tools. Repair or replace faulty components such as engines, transmissions, and electrical systems. Maintain accurate records of all work performed on vehicles. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations while working in the workshop. Collaborate with other team members to ensure timely completion of repairs and maintenance tasks.

Requirements

Previous experience as a Mechanic or in a similar role is essential. Strong knowledge of vehicle systems and repair techniques. Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment. Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to work under pressure. Attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. A valid driving licence is preferred; additional qualifications such as an NVQ or equivalent in vehicle maintenance would be advantageous.
