Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting goods and materials to various locations while ensuring timely deliveries. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to handle flatbed deliveries and operating of a HIAB. As a Truck Driver, you will play a vital role in maintaining our high standards of service.

Responsibilities

Operate lorries in compliance with all traffic laws and regulations. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and functionality. Load and unload goods, ensuring that they are secured properly for transport. Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation as required. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays. Adhere to company policies and procedures regarding safety, customer service, and vehicle maintenance. Ensure that the vehicle is kept clean and well-maintained at all times.

Experience

Proven experience in commercial driving, particularly with flatbed vehicles, is preferred. A valid HGV (Heavy Goods Vehicle) licence is essential for this position. Previous experience as a delivery driver is an advantage but not mandatory. Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices in transportation. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively. A commitment to providing exceptional customer service while on the road.

The successful candidate would also be required to assist in loading of vehicles, unloading of vehicles and assist customers with collection orders at the yard.

Hours

Monday to Friday 8am to 4.30pm

Saturday 8.30am to 12pm

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 32,000.00-33,000.00 per year
