Accredited High Intensity CBT Practitioner (Full Time in HULL)
We are looking for a qualified High Intensity CBT Practitioner with a passion for perinatal mental health to join our team at House of Light.
High Intensity CBT is a highly valued form of therapy and we have been fortunate to have been granted funding for a 2-year post and to the right individual the opportunity to extend your contract may be available.
House of Light is a perinatal mental health specialist service working on the primary care networks in Hull and East Yorkshire. We prioritise early intervention for anyone experiencing mental health difficulties in the perinatal period. We offer therapeutic interventions to help with perinatal mental health problems that can complicate pregnancy, the postnatal period and compromise the parent-infant relationship. Health professionals working within specialised perinatal services require a high level of knowledge and experience regarding such presentations.
We are seeking a compassionate individual, with a genuine interest in working with men and women in the perinatal period.
You will be supported by our clinical lead however, please note you will be part of a team of two CBT practitioners. You will need to be experienced enough to work independently.
The post holder will need to be able to confidently assess risk and deal with safeguarding issues.

Person Specification:
Hold BABCP Accreditation or evidence of working towards full accreditation.
Recognised professional qualification.
Evidence of ongoing professional development.
Have a proven track record of delivering high quality disorder specific assessments, formulation and protocol-based CBT interventions that reflect local and national priorities and targets.
At least 2 years post qualification experience in a healthcare setting.
A varied understanding of different counselling modalities.
Evidence of understanding postnatal depression, anxiety, trauma, and bereavement.
An understanding of the impact perinatal mental health issues can have on the whole family.
Ability to carry out risk assessments.
Evidence of regular clinical supervision.
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to maintain clear professional boundaries.

Working knowledge and understanding of mental health issues and the ability to recognise the indicators of deteriorating mental health
