Working with public and voluntary sector partners, an exciting opportunity has arisen in the organisation for the following position: -

High Intensity User Advisor - North & East

This is a full-time post for 37 hours a week

The post attracts a salary of 27,711 p.a.

plus an Essential Travel Allowance of 600 per annum

This is a pilot project to 30 Sept. '26 with the possibility of an extension

Volunteer Cornwall is delivering this project for North and East Integrated Care Board in collaboration with University Hospital Plymouth.

Volunteer Cornwall is looking to recruit an Advisor to join the development of a High Intensity User service in the North and East of the county, with the focus on those frequent users of GP's who are also frequent users of emergency services.

In collaboration with Pentreath, Volunteer Cornwall currently manages the High Intensity User project for the county. We are looking to trial the impact an HIU service can have on those who use both their primary care network and their emergency service frequently.

This is an exciting opportunity to apply our current expertise in high intensity users to pilot a project for those frequent users of both GP and emergency services in the North and East of the county. Working alongside a Co-ordinator, the Advisor will manage a caseload of high intensity users helping to reduce the reliance on emergency services for support. This will be achieved by continuing the existing model of the current HIU project both in terms of client work and multi-disciplinary team engagement and data collection.

You must be able to drive and have a vehicle for use during working hours. Business mileage is reimbursed at 45p per mile.
