Appointable candidates will be required to apply for an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. An exciting opportunity has become available to join the High Needs team with MAES. The team delivers high quality education to young people with Education, Health and Care plans. It is an opportunity to work with young people as they prepare for adulthood and to support positive outcomes. The team deliver both in an adult learning centre and in the wider community.
The post holder will deliver both 1-1 and classroom-based learning. They will also work with the District Programme Leader to identify learners at risk of disengagement and support them to stay on course. You should be an inspiring teacher with an ability to enthuse learners about their subject and personal goals. Experience of working with young people with SEND would be an advantage but is not essential.
