Salary:

24,790 (salary to be pro-rated)

Contract Type:

Term time only

Working Pattern:

30 hours per week, Monday to Friday

Key Responsibilities:

Provide targeted support to pupils with a range of additional needs, both in class and in small group or individual sessions. Work collaboratively with class teachers, SENCO, and external professionals to implement personalised learning plans and interventions. Support pupils' social, emotional, and language development, fostering confidence and independence. Adapt learning materials and activities to meet the diverse needs of pupils. Promote an inclusive, nurturing, and supportive classroom environment in line with the school's Catholic ethos. Monitor and record pupil progress, contributing to assessments and reviews as required. Support the wider life of the school community, including participation in liturgies, assemblies, and school events.

What You Need to Succeed

To be successful in this role you will need to:


have experience of working with children with additional needs and/or EAL. demonstrate patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development. have high expectations of children's behaviour and attainment. work effectively as part of a team and use initiative when required. be committed to upholding and promoting the Catholic values and mission of the school. hold relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant or equivalent) - desirable but not essential.
