Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity to join the Finance Team as a Band 4 Higher Finance Officer. This is an excellent opportunity for those with finance skills or those who aspire to work in finance.
NVQ4/AAT Technical Level or equivalent experience or willing to work towards qualifications is desirable for this post.
Main duties of the job

  • Support the production of financial information for budget holdersand help provide detailed financial analysis in the interpretation of financial information.
  • Toassistin the provision of financial supportand advice to Directorates ensuring information istimelyand robust
  • Ensuringfinancial information is processedin accordance withmonth end timetable.
  • To deal with financial queries from Finance, other Directorates and Trust staff,providing assistanceand advice when required including advising on specific sensitive issues such as invoice charges and income
  • Take responsibilityfor theday-to-dayadministration,maintenanceand accuracy of the monthly financial reportingin accordance withTrust Financial Procedures (FCP's) and Standing Financial Instructions (SFI's)
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
This post is fixed term / secondment for 12 months to cover a period maternity of maternity leave. If you are interested in applying for the secondment position, you must obtain permission from your current line manager prior to applying for this post.
