Higher Level Teaching Assistant

Grade G, 24,892 - 27,221 - depending upon length of service

Part Time - 33 hours per week (term time only)

Temporary to 31 August 2026



The Governors and Head Teacher at Fellside Community Primary School are seeking a highly resourceful and suitably qualified Higher Level Teaching Assistant to deliver Alternate Provision nurture afternoons for a small group of children needing SEMH support, with a morning commitment of management/PPA/ absence cover. The successful applicant will:

Have the knowledge and experience to teach across Years 1 to 6, meeting the requirements of children with a differing range of needs and abilities; Hold HLTA status (or equivalent); Be a kind and supportive practitioner, sharing our ethos of Ambition For All; Be proficient in delivering pre-planned lessons in the absence of the class teacher; Share our values of Integrity, Honesty, Tolerance and Respect and support our children to show them in their day to day school life; Have a willingness to take on responsibility and to be accountable; Work flexibly as part of our wider staff team and be willing to participate in all aspects of school life, including leading playtime activities.

Salary amounts quoted are from the 1 September to 31 August and therefore if you commence employment part way through the academic year, they are subject to an equated salary adjustment.
