Salary Details: 26,918 - 29,616 FTE - pro rata based on 30 hours per week
Hours of work: 30 hours per week term time plus one week to cover training

We are looking to recruit a Higher Level Teaching Assistant to lead classroom cover across the school, supporting our children to be the best they can be. This post could be the ideal opportunity to provide experience for a newly-qualified ECT or for somebody who already has the HLTA qualification. Alternatively, this could be an ideal training opportunity for somebody looking for the next step in their career or a graduate with a longer-term view to teacher training. The role involves working closely with the class teaching teams to teach, support and challenge pupils across their Early Years and Key Stage One curriculum.
Experience within a mainstream setting is desirable, along with the ability to engage and build relationships with children. The role includes Lunchtime Supervision.

You will need:A good English and Maths skillset (GCSE / O Level Grade C or above )
Good communication skills
A positive attitude
The ability to use your initiative
To be highly organised with good time management skills
To be able to work as a member of a team
To relate well to both adults and children
Excellent behaviour management skills
An understanding of confidentiality and safeguarding
HLTA qualification (desirable)
