We are seeking to appoint a part-time Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA), ideally with a Science focus, to join our team in September 2025. The role of the HTLA is to provide support for students, teachers and the School in order to raise learning standards for Special Education Needs & Disability (SEND) students in class. Due to the remote location of the school, Candidates are required to have access to reliable transportation.

As an HLTA, your responsibilities would include:
Working as a member of a team providing learning support assistance to the pupils of the school.
Establish productive working relationship with pupils and teachers, acting as a role model and setting high expectations.
Providing in class support for identified pupils to enable them to access the curriculum and make progress against targets including supporting the development of skills in literacy, numeracy, communication and social and behavioural needs
Ensure a first-class standard of teaching by adapting class/ group learning activities for SEND pupils and adjusting activities according to pupil responses/needs
Undertake planning and teaching sessions for small learning support groups.

Educated up to A- Level or equivalent (essential)
Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) Qualification Level 4 (essential)
Previous experience working in a school or with young people (essential)
Science support experience (desirable)
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written (essential)
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy (essential)
