Higher Level Teaching Assistant



Hours of Post: 31 hours per week



Contract Type: Permanent, Term Time only



Salary Grade: Scale 5 point 12 to 17 - 28,598 - 31,022 FTE



(Salary will be pro rata to term time hours)



Start Date of Post: 19th January 2026 or a soon as possible after this date





The Governors and Headteacher are seeking to appoint a Higher Level Teaching Assistant, who will be responsible for interventions, regular weekly class teaching, including covering PPA and short term teacher absence. This will involve liaising with senior leaders and class teachers, planning, teaching from plans and marking work in line with policy. Candidates will need to evidence they are working at the level of a HLTA either through completion of the HLTA qualification or experience of working as a HLTA including relevant training and assessment.
