WithinfieldsPrimary School is seeking a motivated and skilled Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join our strong and supportive staff team.
This is an exciting opportunity to play a vital role in supporting teaching and learning across Key Stage 2, contributing directly to the success and development of our pupils.
Key Responsibilities
Cover teaching of Key Stage 2 classes during teacher absences
Lead targeted interventions for groups of Key Stage 2 pupils to support their progress
Provide focused support to individuals and groups within the classroom
Regularly teach classes during teachers' PPA time, ensuring continuity of high-quality learning
Implement and adhere to the school's safeguarding and child protection policies and procedures.
Required Qualifications, Experience and Qualities
Experience working with children in Key Stage 2, ideally within a primary school setting
Proven ability to lead group interventions and support individual learning needs
Confident classroom practitioner capable of delivering lessons independently
Strong academic standards including equivalent to GCSE C or above in English and Maths
Qualified as a HLTA or above
Ability to work above the level of Y6 in Maths, English and have appropriate knowledge across the curriculum to teach any subject in Key Stage 2
Strong communication and organisational skills
A passion for inclusive education and supporting children with diverse needs
Ability to work collaboratively within a dedicated team
Commitment to professional development and continuous improvement
Enthusiasm for contributing to the wider school community
