We are a sought after, one form entry primary school located in the centre of the popular town of Woodbridge.
We are looking to appoint an excellent and dedicated
Higher Level Teaching Assistant
(HLTA) to work across key stages. The role will involve supporting pupils both individually and in small groups, as well as covering classes for PPA time. The role will also support the enrichment of our wrap around care in our after-school club for two afternoons a week and supervision at lunchtimes. You may also be asked to provide additional cover for staff absence or training.
Reporting to: Assistant Headteacher.
We are seeking someone to join our team who has:
a positive attitude, caring nature and excellent communication skills
high expectations which inspire, motivate and challenge children
an understanding of inclusive educational practices and a commitment to equality and diversity
experience of working with children with SEND, preferably in a school setting
experience of using restorative conversations with children to understand behaviour
patience, empathy and a positive can-do attitude.
Qualifications:
Early Years Childcare Level 2 or equivalent (essential) / Early Years Childcare Level 3 or equivalent (desirable)
Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) qualification or equivalent experience
good levels of literacy and numeracy (GCSE or equivalent)
Paediatric First Aid (desirable).
