The Paediatric Psychosocial Service (PPS), part of Manchester University Hospitals NHS Trust (MFT) CAMHS which sits within the Royal Manchester Children's Hospital is looking to recruit a Clinical Psychologist to provide a high-quality specialist clinical and neuropsychology service to patients within the neuro-oncology service at Royal Manchester Children's Hospital and The Christie Hospital in collaboration with clinical psychology colleagues and members of the neuro-oncology MDT.
This role also involves a small but important role in consultation and training with the Cochlear Implant Team at Royal Manchester Children's Hospital.
This is a brilliant opportunity for dedicated mental healthcare professionals to promote and improve the mental health and well-being of children and young people with physical health conditions and those who care for them.
You'll be supported to manage a defined caseload and have the responsibility for the assessment, treatment and discharge of children and young people. Roles also include consultation and liaison with medical teams.
Providing evidence-based psychological assessment and interventions
Contributing to MDT care planning and review
Providing consultation, training and support to the wider team
Developing the clinical psychology service in conjunction with senior colleagues
Supervision of more junior colleagues, trainee and assistant psychologists or other psychological practitioners
Contributing to audit and research
