Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen to apply for a fixed term, secondment as the Highly Specialist Pharmacist for Technical Services and Haematology at NBT. We are looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated, and forward-thinking individual to join our team. The department provides a friendly, stimulating and rewarding environment for staff to develop their clinical and technical expertise. Main duties of the job
The successful applicant will be responsible for the day-to-day provision of clinical pharmacy services to the haematology directorate including outpatients, inpatients, and the chemotherapy day unit. The post holder will work closely with the haematology multidisciplinary team contributing towards teaching, guideline development, and clinical audits. There is also an opportunity for the post holder to undertake non-medical prescribing clinics.
The post holder will support the Principal Pharmacist in the leadership of the Technical Services team to ensure safe and efficient service delivery. This provides the opportunity to work with the senior team, contributing to service developments and implementing improved ways of working. The post holder will also support regional/national workstreams including 'Assurance of Aseptic Preparation of Medicines' Audit and Aseptic Services Transformation.
The successful candidate will have previous experience working within Technical Services and haematology or oncology. You must have completed the clinical diploma and be committed to continuing professional development. Being a qualified non-medical prescriber would be an advantage but is not essential.
