The Role:
High-Risk Management Team Lead is a management role with responsibility to lead and manage the High-Risk Management team, conducting non-complex investigations, high-risk approvals management, offboarding management and exit validations.
Main Responsibilities:Management responsibilities:
+ Overall leadership and management of the High-Risk Management team.
+ Oversee delegation of activities across the team to ensure capacity constraints are managed effectively.
+ Build collaborative relationships with 1LoD stakeholders to enhance risk management and compliance culture.
+ Oversee the development and execution of blocking, restrictions and re-entry prevention processes and procedures in line with regulatory requirements and group exits/blocking policy and framework.
+ Define and build the framework to manage high risk cases and sanctions alerts within the 1LoD, and in line with the Risk Decisioning Matrix.
Operational responsibilities:
+ Coordinate escalations and high-risk approvals across all in-scope jurisdictions across 1LoD and 2LoD (UK, Luxembourg, Asia Pacific, United States, South Africa), including seeking Central and Regional 2LoD advice and approval for high-risk decisions, where required.
+ Attend required FC governance committees and present high-risk cases to decision-makers
+ Review escalations materials and investigations packages to support escalations for high-risk decisioning.
+ Provide support, advice and guidance and to High-Risk Specialists conducting complex cases.
+ Review complex cases completed by High-Risk / Escalations Specialists, and close or escalate where required.


Key Knowledge, Skills & ExperienceExperience leading and managing financial crime operational teams. Experience in overseeing and executing financial crime high-risk management. Ability to apply risk-based decision-making principles. Significant experience within financial crime. Ability to demonstrate a deep subject matter expertise of the financial crime risks inherent in the Asset Management sector. Strong written and verbal communication skills to convey and explain complex risk decisions and information to stakeholders at all levels. Familiarity with industry best practices and regulatory expectations specific to Asset Management
