About the role
As a site-based Highways Asset Inspector, you will be responsible for undertaking
comprehensive asset inventory and defect inspections across the M25 Network. This
role ensures compliance with contract requirements, meticulous record-keeping, and
accurate identification and reporting of on-site defects.
Location: can be based at Dartford, Leatherhead or South Mimms with travel across M25 network.
What you'll be doing
Deliver Longstop on-site and video inspections.
Conduct Highway Asset inspections on the M25 and associated roads and assets, working in both on-site and office environments.
Accurately distinguish and categorise various defects according to National Highways and Connect Plus Services directives (additional training will be provided).
Identify and record new asset inventory items.
Support the wider Inspections Team with inspecting other network assets.
Assist in responding to customer enquiries.
Support audits of surveys performed by Third-Party Contractors.
Update and ensure compliance with programme deadlines.
Close out defects within the database.
Live the Connect Plus Services Values.
Maintain a relentless focus on Zero Harm.
Who we're looking for
Qualifications/ skills/ experience:
Knowledge of highways assets and related defects.
Knowledge and experience in the use of asset management systems (Desirable).
Knowledge and experience of using Data Capture Devices (Desirable).
Experience in using Microsoft Office applications (Essential).
CSCS site labourer card (support will be provided if not currently held).
Full driving licence (Essential).

Good work ethic, committed and reliable.
Ability to meet deadlines through effective organization and planning of workload.
Good communication skills, capable of conveying points clearly.
Flexible and prepared to work unsociable hours as required
