ROLE OF THE JOB



As a Technical Support Officer, you will be supporting the Highways Development Management Team coordinate correspondence, manage filing systems, to help deliver safe and sustainable highway improvements. Record and monitor planning consultations and responses between the Local Planning Authority and Highway Authority. Assist with the organising financial records, technical documents, and legal correspondence related to Agreements under the Highways Act 1980. The Highways Development Management team is part of the wider Highways Infrastructure Team and are responsible for dealing with the highway related aspects of new developments, until they become Highway Maintainable at Public Expense. We are looking for a proactive administrator with excellent attention to detail, who is confident using Microsoft Office and document management systems. Experience in a technical or planning environment is helpful, but not essential. You will be based at County Hall in Morpeth, with flexible working arrangements which includes occasional working from home.

REQUIREMENTS OF THE JOB



Minimum 5 GCSEs (or equivalent), including English and Maths. Experience in planning, highways, or admin support. Effective communication skills and a flexible, proactive approach. Full, clean driving licence required.
