Are you ready to make a real impact in your community? We're looking for a skilled and dedicated
Highways Maintenance Operative
to join our team in
Solihull
, working across the Warwickshire and Solihull contract.
What you'll be doing
You'll carry out a wide range of highway construction and maintenance tasks, including:
Pothole and patch repairs
Footway reconstruction
Bollard repair and installation
Fencing, drainage, and pavement laying
Street iron works and excavation
Traffic management duties (Code of Practice compliant)
Deliver operational activities safely and to a high standard
Ensure compliance with Health & Safety and company procedures
Support emergency and winter service provision
Work flexibly to meet business needs
Contribute to the profitability of the service through effective resource use
Provide excellent customer service and represent Balfour Beatty professionally
All work must be completed to high standards of safety, quality, and efficiency.
Who we're looking for

Essential experience:
Footway and carriageway repairs
Highway civils and drainage
Iron works and concreting
Traffic management and gritting
Kerbing, block laying, slabbing
Plant awareness and manual handling
Desirable qualifications:
Class 1 or 2 Licence
NRSWA
12D Traffic Management T1/T2
First Aid
Abrasive Wheels
CSCS Highway Maintenance
