Job Description

We are currently seeking a

Highways Supervisor

to join our team in our Blarlinn Depot, Cumbernauld on a full time permanent position for Hochtief Operations UK & Ireland for our North Lanarkshire Project.

The ideal candidate will oversee the day-to-day operations, ensuring your team meets and exceeds company standards for performance and productivity. Communicate organisational needs, oversee employees' performance, provide guidance, support, identify development needs, and manage the reciprocal relationship between staff and the company so that each is successful.

Key responsibilities include:



Lead, mentor, and motivate team members to achieve their goals and perform to the best of their abilities. Participate in winter and summer standby and be part of the standby rota. Keep records, including drivers hours and any paperwork necessary up to date. Comply with Health & Safety regulations and maintain accurate work records. Experience in track works and highways maintenance works. Experience in construction and maintenance works. Drive/operate vehicles including HGV/Small & Large plant ensuring vehicle checks, routing maintenance and cleaning is carried out. Comply with Health & Safety regulations and maintain accurate work records.

Technical Competencies & requirements



Preferably qualified to CITB SSSTS / SMSTS or NRSWA Supervisor or equivalent certification is preferred. Previous Winter Maintenance experience required. You will be required to participate in the Winter & Summer Standby rota. Strong Verbal and Written Communication for teams to function effectively, supervisors must have strong communication skills. Ability to Delegate. 12D RTM Operative (Mod1/2)

Qualifications:



NRSWA card 12D RTM Operative (Mod1/2) Abrasive Wheels CAT Scanner (Highways) Emergency First Aid Manual Handling

Experience:



Experience of 12 months in Highways construction and maintenance works. Drive / Operate vehicles and small plant ensuring vehicle checks and cleaning is carried out. You hold a valid driving licence (HGV class 2 preferred) and a drivers CPC card.
