NY Highways is looking to welcome a Highways Operative with LGV to join our team in Skipton.

Looking for a challenging and varied role in highways maintenance?

We're seeking a skilled operative with LGV experience to join us. With a busy pipeline of projects ready to go, you'll be part of the crew delivering improvements across Skipton and the surrounding areas.

What you'll be doing

As a Highways Operative with LGV, you'll work closely with a Ganger to carry out a variety of skilled tasks, including:

Kerbing, drainage installation, patching, ironwork renewal, and street furniture installation General site maintenance, traffic management, and roadside verge upkeep Operating specialist highways plant and equipment Driving and operating vehicles over 7.5 tonnes, including conducting safety checks
This role includes participation in an out-of-hours call-out rota for emergencies and winter maintenance. A Class 2 Driver's Licence (Category C) is essential, and access to personal transport is desirable.

This is a physically active role requiring outdoor work in all weather conditions. Full PPE, including outdoor clothing, will be provided.
