About the Role

We are looking to appoint a dedicated and compassionate Speech & Language Therapist to join our supportive team. You will deliver hands-on therapy, assessments, and intervention plans for students with complex speech, language, and communication needs

Key Responsibilities

Provide direct speech and language therapy to pupils with a variety of communication needs, including those with ASC, dyslexia, and other specific learning difficulties.

Conduct assessments and develop individualised therapy plans that align with each learner's educational goals and developmental stage.

Collaborate with teaching staff and other therapists to integrate therapy into daily classroom routines and learning activities.

Offer guidance and training to school staff on strategies to support speech, language, and communication needs in the classroom.

Engage with families to share strategies, offer support, and ensure consistency between school and home environments.

Maintain clear and timely documentation, including progress reports, session notes, and contributions to EHCPs and review meetings.

Take part in regular professional development and contribute to the continuous improvement of therapy services within the school.

Person Specification

A degree in Speech and Language Therapy

Minimum 2 years' experience as a qualified SaLT

HCPC and RCSLT membership

Experience of assessing and implementing appropriate management plans for speech and language therapy

Experience working with children and young people with ASC, dyslexia and other specific learning difficulties
