We're looking for a motivated, hands-on HIU Engineer who can carry out both breakdown repairs and new HIU installations. You'll be joining one of the UK's leading district heating specialists at an exciting time of national growth.
Evinox have a head office in Chessington and manufacturing facility in Romania, with this role being based out of our satellite office in Glasgow. Due to continued expansion across Scotland and new project wins, we now require an additional engineer to cover Glasgow and Edinburgh as the primary area.
If you have a strong plumbing/heating background and want to specialise in Heat Interface Units and renewable systems, this is an excellent opportunity with full training provided and a clear route to senior level.
The Role
Carry out full installation and commissioning of new Heat Interface Units
Complete professional handovers to clients and provide excellent customer service
Perform planned maintenance on HIUs, plant room equipment (non-gas), pipework, valves and fittings.
Attend breakdowns and complete reactive works across residential sites
Diagnose and repair faults on HIU systems and associated components
Receive comprehensive ongoing training with a structured pathway to Senior/Lead Engineer
Requirements
Full UK driving licence (essential)
Proven experience in plumbing, heating, or mechanical maintenance (HIU experience desirable but not essential - full training given)
NVQ/City & Guilds Level 2 or 3 in Plumbing & Heating or equivalent preferable
Ability to work confidently on both breakdown repairs and new installations
Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated and able to work independently
Proactive, customer-focused attitude with a genuine desire to progress
Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work schedules as needed
Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to producing quality work
